Reiser's TV credits include My Two Dads and an acclaimed performance in the British TV drama My Beautiful Son.

Despite enjoying the somewhat successful film career—most notably around James Cameron's 1986 Aliens, as a treacherous company executive—Reiser is most easily-known for his role within Mad About You, a long heading sit-com co-starring Helen Hunt. Reiser co-wrote Mad All about Professional people's theme song, entitled "Final Frontier", by having Don Was.
